What Graham was looking for
Graham was setting out with a new venture, turning what was a long-term hobby into a professional service for the paying general public. A 1st degree black-belt in Sung Chuan Kung Fu & a winner of Gold in National Championships although it was a new project Graham was already highly accomplished & professional, & needed a website to reflect that.
He needed a website in keeping with the colours & styles of oriental martial arts which was attractive to potential customers, whilst effectively communicating the key details about his Kung Fu classes. What’s more he needed it quickly, with little more than a week before the first class, & affordably.
He had a range of photos to work from, & a rough image of a logo, but needed these putting to work effectively and professionally in the website.
What we did
Graham needed a swift turnaround, but that was no reason to compromise on style!
Working from one of our website blueprints, ‘The Touch of Style‘, we identified a number of premium themes which we felt would suit well as the starting point for the style & functionality of the site. Having agreed on one which was perfect for the purpose we got to work.
First a secured build of WordPress was put in place, then further configured to the needs & the theme implemented. Once we had the content in place we stylized & customized the site to a look uniquely representing the Sung Chuan Kung Fu martial arts feel.
Photos were customized to suit the home page, a fresh vector logo created & integrated & a gallery of processed photos put in place. Event details, including Google Maps locations configured to be mobile-responsive, were focused on as a key area of content to communicate to visitors.
Once all done we provided our standard ‘Implementation & Usage Report’ to breakdown for Graham exactly how his site had been set up, how he could get stuck in using it, & how he could look after & expand it in future.
We’re very pleased with the outcome, a stylish site in perfect keeping with that ‘Shaolin Monk Orange’ look & feel. Mobile & tablet responsive, exactly as needed but with the potential to grow as Graham chooses.
We’re particularly glad though that Graham was more than satisfied with the the final website & the overall process, saying:
“I couldn’t asked for anything more from Geoff & Web Propelled. It’s just what I was hoping for & then some, & developed very promptly so it was in place for my first class. Thanks Geoff!”
